Verizon Delivers 12 New HD Channels To Portland FiOS TV Subscribers

Verizon has announced the launch of 12 new high-definition channels to its FiOS TV subscribers in Portland Area. The Telco claims that they offer 105 HD channels and more than 1,200 HD video-on-demand (VOD) titles every month. The new HD Channels launched includes:

Chiller HD

The Golf Channel HD

CBS College Sports Network HD

Encore HD

HBO East HD and

Cinemax East HD

Verizon has also announced that the new subscribers who subscribe FiOS TV between now and Feb. 21 will be eligible to receive choice of free use for six months of either a high-definition (HD) digital video recorder (DVR) or an HD Home Media DVR.

Shawne Angelle, vice president of marketing and sales for Verizon’s West Coast region said “Only Verizon delivers all-digital TV over an all-fiber-optic network straight to customers’ homes, our advanced network creates the ultimate home-entertainment experience, with an ever-expanding channel lineup, the most HD channels, the best picture-and-sound quality and interactive features that go beyond old-fashioned cable.”
