Cablevision Systems Corporation has appointed Todd Brecher as senior vice president and associate general counsel, business affairs.
Before joining Cablevision, Brecher worked for eight years at Time Warner Cable Inc., most recently as vice president and assistant chief counsel, corporate. In that role, he was Time Warner Cable’s primary lawyer for all significant mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions, including the acquisition with Comcast Corporation of Adelphia Communications’ cable systems; Time Warner Cable’s spin-off from Time Warner Inc.; and the company’s investments in Clearwire Communications and Canoe Ventures. Before that, Mr. Brecher held associate positions at various law firms including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
In his new role, Brecher will serve as Cablevision’s lead attorney on corporate transactions and other corporate development initiatives, including acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic investments.
Brecher will report to David Ellen, Cablevision executive vice president and general counsel.
