Time Warner Cable Still Negotiating To Bring Back WLUK FOX 11

by admin on October 24, 2008

Time Warner Cable has announced in a press release that they are working hard to bring WLUK FOX 11 back in its programming line-up. Time Warner is negotiating with LIN TV as the operator has removed the channel from Time Warner programming line-up on October 2 seeking a price increase. The cable operator stated that they can’t legally provide WLUK to its cable subscribers as LIN TV is demanding more price from Time Warner subscribers for their 12 other LIN TV stations across the country. Further stating that LIN TV is offered the best price and still expecting more, which subscribers will feel its more to pay.

Jack Herbert, president of Time Warner Cable of Wisconsin said “We requested an opportunity to work until an agreement was reached, and WLUK refused, They showed little regard for their viewers and advertisers, and our customers, in their preference to remove the channel rather than work toward resolution. Lin TV already makes millions of dollars in additional advertising revenue as a direct result of being on Time Warner Cable, Demanding more is just plain greedy and Northeast Wisconsin deserves better.”
