Science Fiction Writer Arthur C dies in Sri Lanka

Arthur C. Clarke, writer of the most famous “2001: A Space Odyssey”, died today at the age of 90. Clarke wrote more than 100 sci-fi books. Born to farmers in Mine head, England on Dec. 16, 1917, he was addicted to Olaf Stapleton and H.G. Wells and started to write for his school magazine. Along with Clarke and only sixteen others were honored with ‘Science Fiction Grand Master’. He was only person to appear in the Sri Lankan stamps. During his Ninetieth birthday last year he said “Being a writer, space promoter and underwater explorer, I would like to be remembered as a Writer.”
