DirecTV has promoted Patrick T. Doyle to executive vice president, Finance and will also continue as Chief Financial Officer and report to Chase Carey, president and CEO of the DIRECTV. Doyle has joined DirecTV as Director, Taxes in 1992 and was promoted to vice president, Taxes in October 1996 and has been assigned added responsibility for Corporate Development in June 1997.
Doyle was promoted as Chief Financial Officer in 2007 from senior vice president and Chief Accounting Officer. Now as executive vice president, Finance, Doyle will retain responsibility for all Finance department activities, including accounting, financial planning, treasury, business management, investor relations, audit and tax.
Carey said “Pat has played a critical role in DirecTV’s success during the past year, helping to drive efficiencies and discipline throughout the company during a period of transformational growth and expansion, at the same time, he has also helped guide the company through complex organizational and ownership changes. His steady hand will be instrumental to our ongoing growth and success.”
