Time Warner Cable is planning to bring six new high definition channels in Manhattan on April 30.The cable operator’s local systems will add about 100 channels before the end of the year in New Jersey and New York areas. Time Warner will offer 50 high definition channels in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island and many of them will be free with digital cable packages.
The new channels to be added in Manhattan are:
Animal Planet HD
Food Network HD
Hallmark Movie Channel HD
HGTV HD
Travel Channel HD and
Versus/Golf HD
Many new HD channels will be added later in the year in the Hudson Valley region, Manhattan, Mt. Vernon and New Jersey
