India reached 267 for 4 after a shaky start

India scored 267 for 4 in Commonwealth Bank Series - 2nd Match which is a day and night One day International against Srilanka at Brisbane today. Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat on a humid day (rain expected later). Sewag and Tendulkar started the day with a — partnership and after Tendulkar Fell for 35 of 52 balls to Malinga. Tendulkar is the first batsman to cross 16,000 runs when he reached 28. Sewag was out caught behind for 33 of 39 balls. India were 84 for 4 after Yuvaj was out bold to Muralitharan caught by captain Jayawardane in the first slip. Rohit Sharma was bit unlucky as he was given out caught behind to Muralitharan as there was no nick. Indians were struggling at 83 for 4 and Indian fans were disappointing as Indians would be bold out below 200 like the match against Australia.

Then came Captain Dhoni to join with Gambir, they played safely to reach a respectable score. Runs dried and Srilankan Captain Jayawardane was wise enough to run through the overs faster. Amerasinghe bowled excellently for 30 runs of 10 overs for a wicket.
India ended finally at 267 for 4 with Gambir scoring a century and Dhoni played a Captains innings of 88 of 95 balls. Gambir has his luck initially as he was dropped by Sangakkara at 11.

Now its Srilanka to chase the score 267 and it’s a competitive score made by India and its expected Duckworth-Lewis will come into play as its raining now in Brisbane and the target may be revised for Srilankans to chase.
