Dish Network Signs HD Carriage Deal with Tribune

Dish Network has signed an agreement to carry Tribune-owned local stations and will broadcast sports and news programming to Dish Network subscribers in HD. This agreement will allow Dish Network to carry Tribune local HD signals for 23 Tribune stations in 19 markets. Dish Network is to carry HD feeds from major Tribune stations like :

KCPQ – Fox Affiliate, Seattle

WPIX – CW Affiliate, New York

WGN-TV – CW Affiliate, Chicago and

KTXL – Fox Affiliate, Sacramento

Eric Sahl, senior vice president of programming for Dish Network said “With the Cubs and White Sox leading their divisions in the Major Leagues, we are excited to reach this agreement with Tribune to launch WGN America in HD.”
