DISH Network launched 22 high-definition channels recently and proved that their satellite launch failure won’t effect their HD expansion plans (But withdrew all of VOOM HD channels). DirecTV is expected to deliver more national HD and local channels, starting from September with the help of their new satellite DIRECTV 11. DISH Network also wants to catch up with the DirecTV in HD local channels expansion.
According to www.engadgethd.com, DISH Network has revealed summer rollout of HD locals and DISH Network subscribers can expect local HD in following Market areas:
