Dish Network Launches Local HD in Eight Markets

Dish Network has recently added local HD channels in Louisville, Kentucky and this is due to DirecTV’s delivery of local HD in many cities. Now the sat caster has added local HD in eight more markets that include:

Charleston-Huntington, West Virginia

Cincinnati, Ohio

Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York, Pennsylvania

Jacksonville, Florida

Lexington, Kentucky

Little Rock-Pine Bluff, Arkansas

Louisville, Kentucky and

Wichita Falls, Texas and Lawton, Oklahoma

Dish Network claims that it offers local channels in 84 markets reaching 76 percent of U.S. TV households and has not detailed which are the HD locals added.
