Dish Network Adds WGN America HD

Dish Network has added WGN America HD to its high-definition programming line-up on June 11, 2008. The channel was previously known as Superstation WGN and has been renamed as WGN America and the website also named as www.wgnamerica.com. DISH Network added this channel prior to the leading satellite provider DIRECTV. WGN America was available in standard-definition on Dish Network, offers high-def broadcasts of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox.

WGN America HD delivers 160 live sporting events featuring the Chicago Bulls, Cubs and White Sox, recent and classic movies, action-adventure series, kid’s and pre-teen favorites, specials, original and educational programs and news programming in high definition.

With the addition of WGN America HD, Dish Network now offers 81 high-definition channels and stretching itself to reach the DirecTV HD line-up.
