DIRECTV’s Spanish- and English-language programming service, DIRECTV Más has announced that they celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Month by contributing a sum of $20,000 to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI). This monetry contribution will support CHCI’s nationally recognized Graduate Fellowship Program, Public Policy Fellowship Program, Congressional Internship Program and Scholarship Program for Hispanic students.
DIRECTV Mas and Centroamérica TV will also support by featuring a television campaign produced by the channel. The campaign will feature a series of vignettes highlighting the outstanding alumni of CHCI. Dr. Enrique Figueroa, The first vignette will be awarded with CHCI Distinguished Alumnus Award.
The CHCI Distinguished Alumnus Award was presented at CHCI 31st Annual Awards Gala Dinner held in Washington D.C. on Sept. 10, 2008.
