DirecTV Launches Local HD Programming to Customers in the Burlington Vt.-Plattsburgh N.Y.
DirecTV has added local high-definition programming in the Burlington Vt.-Plattsburgh N.Y. market area on Wed., Sept. 24. With these additions, DirecTV offers local HD broadcast networks in 94 cities, covering nearly 82 percent of U.S. TV market. The satcaster has added following high-definition broadcast networks in Burlington Vt./Plattsburgh:
WVNY/ABC
WFFF/FOX/CW and
WPTZ/NBC
DirecTV also will add 27 more HD local channel markets by the end of 2008, when DIRECTV will provide local HD broadcast channels in 121 cities, representing more than 88 percent of U.S. TV households. Subscribers with H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish will receive DIRECTV’s Local HD programming.
