DirecTV has added local HD programming in Youngstown, Ohio and the satcaster is now offering HD broadcast channels in 91 cities, representing 81 percent of U.S. TV households. DirecTV also has plans to bring 30 more HD local channel markets before end of the year. Following networks are added in Youngstown, Ohio:
WYTV/ABC and
WFMJ/NBC
DirecTV leads the industry in providing HD programming and now offers more than 130 HD channel, DirecTV will also deliver local HD broadcast channels in 121 cities, representing more than 88 percent of U.S. TV households. DirecTV subscribers must have an H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish.
