DIRECTV 11 to help DirecTV to deliver 150 HD channels

DirecTV, the leading satellite television provider in the country has launched a new satellite DIRECTV 11 on 19 March 2008. DirecTV‘s new satellite DIRECTV 11 along with its sister satellite DIRECTV 10 in the orbit launched last year will provide enough bandwidth to deliver 150 national and 1,500 local high-definition channels. This is one of the three satellites build by Boeing and this is a powerful Ka band satellite one of the largest and most powerful satellite built to date.

DIRECTV 11 will give more strength to HD quality and quantity and the satcaster is planning to enhance the quality and contents to its existing exclusive sports packages like Nascar Hotpass, Mega March Madness and most prominent NFL Sunday Ticket and also Video-On-Demand (VOD), which DirecTV is to launch officially very soon.

DirecTV is also planning to launch another during next year and this will help the satellite provider to offer about 200 national high-definition channels.
