Cox Communications has received the top award as Cable System of the Year. Cox Communications of Hampton Roads has been awarded at the 2008 annual meeting of the Virginia Communications and Telecommunications Association. This is the first time that the cable operator has won this prestigious award. Gary McCollum, SVP and GM Cox Hampton Roads received the award for their outstanding customer service, technical excellence, and community relations.
Gary McCollum said, “We are very proud to have been bestowed this honor. To be considered for this award in a state with so many outstanding systems is an honor within itself and all the credit goes to the hard working men and women who each day deliver on the promise to be ‘your friend in the digital age.’”
