Charter Communications Reaches Agreement with LIN TV

DirecTV has announced that they have reached an agreement with LIN TV on 9th, June for the retransmission of LIN TV’s broadcast stations in both analog and high-definition. Following DirecTV, Charter Communications has announced on June 11 that they also have entered an agreement with LIN TV. This agreement will allow Charter to carry the analog, digital, and high definition programming of LIN TV Stations.

Charter Communications will carry the broadcast signals in the 11 LIN TV-owned and/or operated local stations in Charter markets which will include :

Grand Rapids, MI

Green Bay, WI

New Haven, CT

Springfield, MA

Dayton, OH

Toledo, OH and

Providence, RI

“We are pleased to have reached an agreement in principle with LIN TV, giving us the right to continue delivering programming offered by their owned or operated stations, and affording Charter the opportunity to expand our high definition (HD) programming to our customers in these communities,” said Ted Schremp, Senior Vice President of Product Management and Strategy for Charter. “Consumers are demonstrating a growing desire for quality high definition content, and Charter’s priority is to provide our customers value and choice through a broad array of programming, packages, and enhanced services
that include HD and video on demand.”
