CGS Signs an exclusive deal with G4 Media

Championship Gaming Series (CGS), a Video Game league launched last year by a joint venture among BSkyB, DIRECT TV and STAR, and G4 Media, a 24-hour cable and satellite channel originally dedicated to video games have reached an exclusive deal. This deal will allow G4 media to broadcast programming of the league’s competitions to United States. This deal with G4 is a major deal to expand global broadcast after CGS siged a deal with Eurosport on April 22.

G4 will broadcast from July 16, four 90-minute episodes which will include CGS 2008 North America Finals and the CGS 2008 World Finals. G4 will start with 2008 North America playoffs and will broadcast

2008 North America Final on Wednesday, July 16 at 9 p.m. ET

2008 World Final Quarterfinals matches – Saturday, July 19 at 10 p.m. ET

2008 World Final Semifinals matches – Saturday, July 26 at 10 p.m. ET and

The 2008 World Final Championship Match – Saturday, August 2 at 10 p.m. ET

For our second season, we continue to grow our audience and worldwide reach and this new deal with G4 will help fans connect to CGS via US cable television, for the first time.”
