Cox Business Appoints Steve Rowley As New Vice President of Field Operations

Phil Meeks, senior vice president of Cox Business has announced that Steve Rowley joins the company as vice president of field operations for the western division.

Rowley as VP of field operations will oversee sales processes and operations related to Cox’s commercial services in Arizona, California, Louisiana and Nevada.

Prior to joining Cox Business, Rowley was vice president of indirect sales at Sprint, where he managed relationships with more than 500 partners and generated $250 million in annual revenue. He has more than 20 years of experience leading and supporting sales organizations at Sprint and People’s Choice TV.

Rowley will assist local Cox Business management to develop and implement successful sales and operational strategies. He will also serve as the primary point of integration between field and corporate staff for finance, product and sales support planning.

Phil Meeks said “Steve has a strong background in managing large technology sales organizations and is a great addition to Cox Business as we continue to aggressively expand. Sales execution and operational consistency are critical as we meet the advanced communications requirements of businesses.”

Cox Launches New On DEMAND in Rhode Island And Connecticut

Cox Communications has launched upgrades of the on-screen interface for Cox On DEMAND in Rhode Island and Connecticut. This is free of charge to Digital Cable subscribers providing faster and simpler navigation.

Cox’s new upgrade delivers several enhancements to the usability of the Cox On DEMAND service that includes:
Horizontal scrolling provides quicker navigation through folders

‘Skip’ functions allow the user to skip forward or backward in 15-minute intervals while fast-forwarding or rewinding

Movie previews are available directly from a folder’s main menu

Jump back 10 seconds with the new Instant Replay function

Cox stated that it’s also adding more choices to FreeZone, more HD content, and more Movies On DEMAND.

Doreen Studley, vice president of marketing, Cox Communications New England said, “Cox’s goal is to provide customers with an attractive, fast and intuitive On DEMAND experience. The new features make navigation easy, and Cox has increased the amount of On DEMAND programming available to subscribers.”

Cox To Utilize Qualcomm’s BREW Technology To Deliver Dynamic Mobile Application

Cox Communications will utilize Qualcomm’s BREW technology to enable aspects of its mobile data experience. Qualcomm is a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies, products and services will host the BREW service for Cox.

Cox’s wireless service subscribers with BREW-enabled handsets will be able to download a wide variety of applications from categories such as games, tools, and lifestyle, location, messaging and ring tones. Cox with this technology will provide their customers with a dynamic mobile application shopping experience.

Cox’s Nine HD Channel Launch To Rancho Santa Margarita Subscribers Delayed

Cox Communications has delayed its nine new high-definition channel launch in Rancho Santa Margarita. Cox has promised during the start of July that following new HD channels will be added on July 28.
BET HD – Channel 748

Cartoon Network HD – Ch.771

CMT HD – Ch.759

Comedy HD – Ch.760

FX HD – Ch.717

MTV HD – Ch.749

Nickelodeon HD – Ch.770

Spike HD – Ch.752 and

VH1 HD – Ch.750
Cox has not added these channels but will be included only on August 4 due to some technical problems.

Lana Ong, Cox’s Orange County spokeswoman said “We know that our customers were eager for the new HD channels however, we had to push back the launch to August 4th because we had trouble getting the feeds from our corporate office in Atlanta.”

Cox Launches Faith & Family Movies On DEMAND

Cox To Deliver Nine New HD Channels To Rancho Santa Margarita Subscribers

Cox Communications has announced that nine new high-definition channels will be added to its programming line up in Rancho Santa Margarita. Cox will launch the new HD channels starting, July 28 to digital cable and high-definition TV service subscribers.

Cox is now offering 53 HD channels and with the launch of new HD channels it will exceed Time Warner HD channel line-up. Time Warner offers 55 HD channels and Verizon FiOS leads the HD race with more than 125 HD channels. The new HD channels coming to Rancho Santa Margarita subscribers are:

Cox Launches A New Category “MyPrimetime On DEMAND” To Hampton Roads Subscribers

Cox Communications has announced the launch of On DEMAND access of some prominent networks to its subscribers in Hampton Roads. Cox has also added a new category MyPrimetime in its On DEMAND menu. Cox Digital Cable customers will have options to watch select programming of following networks at no extra cost:

Cox Delivers Four New HD Channels To Upper Hampton Roads Subscribers

Cox Communications has included four new high-definition channels on Friday, June 19 to its digital programming pack subscribers in Upper Hampton Roads. Cox has added following new channels :

ABC Family HD – Channel 719

Disney Channel HD – Channel 738

HBO2 HD – Channel 784 and

WPXV HD ION – Channel 749

HBO2 HD is available only to HBO subscribers. Cox will launch all these four new HD channels to James City and York Counties customers later this year. Cox has launched new on-demand service called “MyPrimetime On DEMAND” at no additional cost.

Cox Communications Extends CSG Systems Agreement For Three More Years

Cox Communications has announced that it has extended its agreement with CSG Systems for three more years. CSG Systems will provide Output Solutions to Cox and will cater print and mail statements for over six million Cox customers. CGS will also provide Statement ImageView, a solution that creates electronic statement images that Cox Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) can use.

Mark Kaish, vice president of technology operation for Cox Communications said “We realize that our customers have a choice of providers, so we take extra steps to provide the best customer care possible at every touch point, working with CSG allows us to leverage the latest technology and design for our monthly statement. Cox Offers ‘The Alzheimer’s Project’ To All Its Subscribers

Cox Communications has announced that it will allow access HBO to view documentary series “The Alzheimer’s Project” to all its subscribers. Cox subscribers can have access to all four documentaries starting May 11 on Cox’s On DEMAND library. Subscribers will have access to HBO till June 8.
