CaribeVision Television Network Launches Advertising Campaign with McCann Worldgroup

CaribeVision Television Network, which recently celebrated its first anniversary, has signed a strategic alliance with world’s largest advertising and marketing firm McCann Worldgroup to invest more than $4 million in advertising in three markets: Miami, New York and Puerto Rico. CaribeVision is to launch a
multi-faceted marketing campaign to promote CaribeVision’s brand and programming to U.S. consumers in Miami, New York and Puerto Rico. Jointly with McCann Worldgroup, CaribeVision will develop a marketing campaign and implement them. The campaign will include advertising on television, print media, radio, billboards and outdoor signage, as well a sample of McCann Worldgroup advertising on the screen of CaribeVision in Miami, New York and Puerto Rico.

“After months of on-air operations during which we were fine tuning details in order to optimize distribution, programming and content, we are now ready to announce our organization, programming and brand to achieve the levels of audience we are seeking,” said Emilio Braun Burillo, Chief Media Officer of CaribeVision.

Fox Soccer Channel To Be Official Nielsen Rated Network From Oct.1

Fox Soccer Channel, which is delivered through major satellite providers like DirecTV, Dish Network and on top cable operators like Comcast, Time Warner with more than 1,600 hours of live programming annually broadcasts the most comprehensive coverage of world-class soccer available in the United States. Fox Soccer Channel also provides programming options ranging from news to reality shows, Live studio shows. The live studio show Fox Soccer Report which presents in-depth soccer news, highlights, features and interviews from across the globe, as well as Fox Football Fone-In, giving fans a chance to have their say on national television every Monday night.

Verizon Launches FiOS TV in Washington State With 98 HD Channels

Verizon’s FiOS TV has announced on Tuesday, Sept. 9 that they offer 98 HD channels in Washington. FiOS TV service is now available for 80,000 households in Washington and the consumers can get Verizon’s FiOS Freedom bundle which comprises FiOS TV, FiOS Internet and reliable landline telephone service. Verizon also said that the consumers who subscribes to FiOS TV by Oct. 4 will get their choice of a year’s free use of either a high-definition digital video recorder (DVR) or an HD Home Media DVR. Existing customers who goes for a upgrade bundled package will get one free month of HBO and Cinemax, which includes the latest hit movies, documentaries and original programming from more than 25 premium channels and access to hundreds of titles on video on demand (VOD).

Verizon also claims that they offer more HD channels than Comcast in Washington area and FiOS TV service is available to customers in parts of Bothell, Brier, Everett, Edmonds, Kenmore, Lynnwood, Woodinville, Woodway and Snohomish County, and the rapid expansion into more communities in the
coming months, Verizon will compete aggressively against the local cable providers for customers.

“This is liberation day for cable TV subscribers in Washington,” said David S. Valdez, senior vice president for Verizon’s Northwest region. “Verizon’s FiOS TV and FiOS Internet services deliver unmatched speeds, incredible picture-and-sound clarity and innovative new services with a brand people know and trust. Comcast To Add HDNet And HDNet Movies

Comcast has reached an agreement to carry HDNet and HDNet Movies on its programming line-up but, the cable operator has not specifically detailed about in which are the areas and also date of adding these two networks. Comcast would also serve a free On Demand programming service from HDNet.
HDNet broadcast exclusively 1080i high definition content and has many original programming news program such as Dan Rather Reports and Sports programming like HDNet Fights.

Time Warner Cable Reaches Carriage Agreement with Big Ten Network

Time Warner Cable and the Big Ten Network have announced that they have reached an agreement on 26th August. This agreement will allow Time Warner to carry Big Ten Network in high-definition and also video-on-demand (VOD) programming on Time Warner’s programming line-ups in all of the Big Ten territory which include including Ohio and Wisconsin. DirecTV To Broadcast Live Coverage of 2008 Farm Aid’s New England Concert in HD

DirecTV to broadcast Farm Aid’s New England music festival to be held in Comcast Center, Mansfield, Massachusetts on Sept. 20 on DIRECTV’s The 101 Network. DirecTV will broadcast Farm Aid 2008 in high-definition on The 101 Network from 4 PM to 11 PM. The show will be presented by Whole Foods Market and Horizon Organic and performances by Willie Nelson, Farm Aid president and founder, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews, board members and also by Kenny Chesney.

Apart from these lead performers, Arlo Guthrie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Nation Beat, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Jakob Dylan and The Gold Mountain Rebels, Danielle Evin, Jamey Johnson, Jesse Lenat, Will Dailey and One Flew South also to join the show.

Noggin Launches Second Season of Animated Preschool Series Pinky Dinky Doo

NOGGIN will launch the second season of the interactive and imaginative series from Sesame Workshop and Cartoon Pizza Pinky Dinky Doo with two new episodes on Sunday, Sept. 7, from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET. The Pinky Dinky Doo will have new episodes for entire week from Monday, Sept. 8 – Friday, Sept. 12 at 3:00 PM ET, with an encore episode at 3:30 PM ET. Pinky Dinky Doo is NOGGIN’s original animated series based on the popular books by Jim Jinkins and dedicated to enhancing early literacy.
