BCCI makes $812 million through IPL Team Auction

Indian Industry move ahead with developments and country saw first that the bid to buy a team. BCCI auctioned its eight Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket franchises fetched $812 million and many companies and leading film and Industrial personalities figured in bid.

Richest Indian Businessman Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries Ltd placed the highest bid of $111.9 million for the Mumbai team.

Leading Bollywood Film Star Shah RukhKhan sucessfully bid for Kolkatta for $75.09 million. He wants Sachin Tendulkar, Dhoni and Yavaraj Singh in his team and Sourav to lead the Team.

Preity Zinta another Film personality from Mumbai bought Mohali team for $86.44 million.

Vijay Mallya of United Breweries clinched Bangalore for $126.93 million.
Richest Cricket Board in the world BCCI’s vice-president Lalit Modi said the Initial season will start in April spanning 44 days and about 60 matches to be played.
